Reception

The reception was a great success. Everything looked wonderful, including us.

This is a picture of me by Uncle Justin before he throws me into the chair. (Oh I am just kidding Justin.... I know you didn't do it.)

This is the HUGE bump I got on my head after I fell into a chair. It hurt so bad!

That's it! I am going home! I am tired! Mimi! Come pick me up!

Helping With Refreshments

I was in charge of making sure everything ran smoothly. This is me checking out the situation in the kitchen.

I am explaining to JaNae the plan for refreshments. There was nothing to worry about there. The Rohner clan had it all under control.

Out of Town Relatives

Alot of my relatives came for the wedding. Here I am with Great Grandma Rowley and Grandpa House.

Great Aunt Jan, Uncle Dick, and Cousin Mary.

At the Temple

She did it! Aunt Jillian got married! I had to wait outside for about an hour while the ceremony took place. But that was okay, I had a fun time walking around the temple grounds. This is my first picture with Auntie Shorts.

Here is my new uncle!

I was very impressed by how shinny Brady's shoes were.

Setting Up

My Aunt Jillian got married on Saturday. On Friday after my surgery I thought I should go and help set up for the reception. Seeing that I still wasn't feeling well, I opted for the position of supervisor. It was a tough job making sure everything went just right. Here I am taking a break.

Surgery

Today I had to go to Primary Children's Hospital and have tubes put in my ears. I have been battling ear infections forever and it was time to put an end to it.

I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after 7:45 am, but before that I could have clear liquids and Jello. So that is what I got for breakfast! Isn't that cool! Jello is a tricky kind of food that is hard to pick up and chew. So I didn't bother chewing and just swallowed it whole.

They had the best doctor's waiting room ever! There were so many toys to play with while I waited. My favorite was a truck. I rode around the room on it making truck noises.

Here I am being prepared to go into surgery. I had to wear a little shirt that tied in the back. The pants and socks were pretty comfy. The nurses blew bubbles while I was waiting.

After surgery I was pretty mad until Mom gave me a bottle. I didn't want any of the yucky apple juice the nurses were trying to give me. On the way home I fell asleep. When I woke up at home I was acting pretty silly. I was still drugged so my attempts to make Mom and Dad laugh were even more funny to them. Then I took a three and a half hour nap! Can you believe that?! Mom thinks it is a miracle. Grandma calls it 'Miracle Ears.'

How to Eat Breakfast

I am getting pretty good at eating by myself, so I thought I would give tips to those that are still struggling at it. . . (Dad) . . .
-
Okay, first, have Mom pour you some Raisin Bran. That is my favorite. But have her pick the raisins out because those are yucky. Start shoveling it in with a spoon. The trick is to fit as much cereal in your mouth before you start to chew.

Next, use your fingers to get out what you couldn't with a spoon.

What you can't get out with a spoon or your fingers, just dump on your tray.

Lick the bowl to make sure it is all gone.

And that my friends is how you eat breakfast!

Park

There are two parks by my house, and I have learned how to get to one of them. If I am let outside, I dash right to it. I love going down the slide, that is my favorite. But eventually I always have to go home. I hate going home so I throw a tantrum every time.

Friends

I am making tons of friends now that I can walk. I have become friends with the boys down the street. In the evenings they are always out playing, and I join them. They are pretty nice to me. They pull me in the wagon.

But even though you make new friends, it is important to spend time with old friends too.

More Grandparents!

Yipee! Grandma and Grandpa are back from their cruise to Alaska! Boy have I missed them. After I helped Grandpa mow his lawn, we went to our favorite place for dinner.
-
It has been a week since I have seen them and they were pretty impressed with my walking and dancing skills. Also I have learned where my head and belly are since they have been gone. Oh, and now I know what sheep and geese say. Phew, there was a lot to catch up on!

This time at Five Guys I got introduced to fry sauce! Oh yum! Who cares if you dip your fry into it, as long as you have a finger, you are good to go!

Mimi and Grandpa to the Rescue!

I have ANOTHER ear infection. That's right, another one. We haven't even recovered from the last episode. The doctor says I need tubes put in, so that will be happening soon. Anyway, Mom and Dad needed a break, so off to Mimi and Grandpa's I went.
-
While I was there I showed off my good walking skills. (Yes, yes... I have decided that I should start walking. I have been able to do it since April, but I have just now decided that I wanted to start walking.) I also taught Mimi a new song on the piano.
After Mom and Dad had a little break, we all went to lunch. The best part was I got an ice cream cone! I got it everywhere, but it sure was good!

Put a Sock In It

Is this what you mean Dad?

Boys' Day

On Wednesday the boys went to the zoo. It has been raining all week, but there was a break for a few hours, so we set off in our strollers to cruise the zoo.

This looks like trouble!

First Ouchie

I have decided to start walking. I have been able to for awhile, but I prefer to crawl. But the past few days I have started to see some advantages to walking. For instance, Dad will let me walk to the park and play. However, on my way over there I fell down and got my first ouchie on my knee. Dad cleaned it up, put a bandaid on it, and kissed it better. I was really brave and didn't even cry.

New Ride

Mom and Dad bought a minivan on Saturday. Mom's car had just about had it, so they needed something new. They wanted something that could fit three car seats and a dog. They looked at SUV's but those were really expensive compared to a van. So, after much deliberation, they decided they would get a van and be practical and save money. So no making fun of them for getting a van.... it was a good choice. You all can have a ride in it - at the same time!

Here is my riding in the van silly face.

Swimming Pool

Mom and Dad will try anything to make me happy since I am so sick. In attempts to do so, they bought me a swimming pool! It has been a little chilly, so I haven't got in yet, but I sure love to sit on the outside and splash.

Driving Skills

Oh no, another victim of my driving.

Still Sick

I am still sick. I have been sick since May 15th. The anti-biotics didn't work, so I am on new ones now. The only way that I will sleep is if I am in the bed with Mom or Dad. Well, when I am in the bed they don't get any sleep because I wiggle so much! Also, I sit up and cry and then lay back down about every ten minutes. This happens all night long so you can see why they don't get any sleep.
-
During the day I have just been no fun to be around either. Mom says I should get an award for the great tantrums I am throwing.
-
Mom took me to the doctor and I have a viral skin infection. That explains my rash on my entire body. The doc said bendryl should help clear it up.
-
I am also cutting 2 molars.

Hike

On Memorial Day, the Rowley family took a hike in the Wellsville Mountains. We had a lot of fun. Grandpa said that I couldn't drive Grandma's car anymore after I backed it into a ditch. But I did it on purpose so Uncle Justin could act all manly and use his truck to pull it out. (Your welcome Justin... now I can't drive anymore.)

Part of the the hike it was raining. But I came prepared with ponchos for everyone. I brought my cute rain jacket for myself.

Everyone wanted a picture together so Aspen volunteered to push the self-timer and run back. However she didn't make it all the way. That is why we have a bum shot of her. Hollie is up in the right top of the picture. It was kind of an awkward tree to sit on.

We hiked to a pond. Aspen LOVES to swim!

Sick!

I have had a bug for the past week. I have been coughing, throwing up, snotty, and just darn irritable. I haven't wanted to eat or sleep. I stayed up for three straight nights and would only sleep in the car. A tired Mom and Dad don't really add to the situation.

See my sad eyes?
-
Mommy took me to the doctor on Friday. It wasn't Dr. Templeman that I saw, it was someone else. She said my ears were red but wouldn't give me an anti-biotic because she didn't think they were bad enough. When I didn't get better, Mom took me to see Dr. Templeman on Monday. Well my ears and throat are infected and he gave me an anti-biotic. I don't think Mommy is going to go to that doctor anymore.
-
Also, on Monday I had to have my 15 month shots. Ouchie! I am just plain miserable!
