Happy Birthday Daddy!

It's Daddy's birthday, and we have some preparing to do. First, make him a happy birthday card.

Second, cut it out.

Third, clean up mess from cutting out.

Fourth, wrap and color present.

I woke up pretty early, so I got to give Dad his present before he went to work. I think he liked my card. Happy birthday Dad!

Let me help you with that Daddy.

After Dad got home from work, we went downtown. We got to eat at Panda Express for Daddy's birthday. You should have seen how much I ate! I love Panda!

One of my favorite things is reading the fortune cookies. Mom and Dad think it is hilarious what I say when I am "reading" it. Today I said, "Happy Birthday Daddy! Ride happy birthday train."

I was looking forward to riding the train all day! I called it the happy birthday train, or sometimes the party train. I also got some hot chocolate on the train!

When I saw this statue I thought it was funny. They are doing Ring-around-the-rosie.

When we got home we "set Dad's cake on fire." I then helped blow out the candles.

Funny Birthday Things I Have Said

Today is Daddy's birthday. He is 28 years old now. Tonight we are going downtown to see the lights at Temple Square. When Mom told me we get to ride the train again I was excited. "We are going to ride the Party Train! Happy Birthday Train!" (Except when I say party, it sounds a lot like potty.)

Mom and I made a cake for Dad. "Now NayNay light cake on fire!" (In other words, lets put candles on it and light them.)

Tending

I forgot to post this. When we were at Grandma's and Grandpa's I was in charge of babysitting everyone while Mom and Dad went shopping. Lydia and I were watching a show. I helped tend her by putting my arm around her.

Alphabet

Mom and I were playing a game today, and she quizzed me on the alphabet. And guess what? I know all my letters! I even know what sounds most of them say! I have known alot of them for a long time, but today I got 100% on my quiz.

Snow!

Yesterday it snowed, and snowed, and snowed, and snowed. Dad shoveled three times and we still need to shovel today. The roads are crazy. I have seen people getting stuck everywhere.
We have decided that our house is at the epicenter of the lake effect!

Thanksgiving

The majority of Mom's family was in Utah for Thanksgiving this year since Grandma Hull passed away. We all went to Grandma Caylinn's for dinner. When we were driving there, this is what the temperature was! -13 degrees! Crazy!

At two o'clock everyone came over for games and appetizers before hand.
Hollie enjoyed that there were so many little kids to play ball with her. And the little kids were glad there was a Hollie to play ball with.
Uncle Steve made a bunch of candy. And the best part was they put it on a table where I could reach it.

I sat at my chair and pigged out on all the appetizers.

The younger generation sat downstairs. The older generation sat upstairs. It was noisier downstairs, which means we were having more fun.

The kids got a special place.

This is when the party really started.

Oh yeah!!

Dad always makes yams when we go to Grandma and Grandpa's because no one really likes them. Daddy does though. He loves them.

This was Lydia's first Thanksgiving.

Around eight o'clock everyone left, and I had GwaMa and Gwampa all to myself.

After Grandpa used me as a pillow, I went and got him one. Then I got me one. We were being so silly together.

What a fun Thanksgiving!!

Great Great Grandma Hull

Grandma Hull passed away on November 19th at the age of 94. I am sure going to miss her. Mom wrote down some of the memories she has of Grandma.

Bunny trail, picnics in the park, old record player, tea parties, BYU football games, Ripple shakes, hot cereal, birthday parties, wooden walls, finally getting taller than Grandma, painting a house blue, salt and pepper shakers. . . these are childhood memories.

Bowls of candy, little glasses of Coke, slower steps, pink recliner, movie nights at college, Brickoven, fun talks, cleaning house, selling blue house, Disneyland, cruise . . . . . these are college memories.

Holding babies, broken hips, hospital trips, Nathan pushing wheel chair, more candy bowls, humor, missing Grandpa, sharp mind, 94th birthday party . . . are recent memories.

We have been very blessed to have Grandma in our lives. What a neat and wonderful legacy she has left us.
