Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Daddy's birthday! What a great Daddy he is! I am sure glad that I picked him in heaven!

We took him out to dinner on Friday to celebrate. They sang to him and made him wear this funny hat. Of course, I wanted to try it on too. Oh, I learned that I love beans and rice. I ate so much that the family thought I would explode any moment.

Silly Grandpa

I love spending time with Grandpa. When he is around, I don't pay attention to anyone else. I just want to play with him.

BEEEEEP!

Grandma has the coolest Christmas tree! When you touch it, it goes BEEEEP really loud.

(Okay, I will admit, it took me a while to figure out it was just Grandpa making noises. I think he beeped the first time to try to discourage me from touching the tree. But I thought it was really funny! I would giggle each time!)

Whoa Chief

Grandpa got a new horsey. His name is Chief.
He is really easy to ride. I took him up in the mountains for awhile until it was time for my nap. But then I got back on for some barrel racing.

Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner over at Aunt Michelle's house. It was really yummy. I got to eat potatoes, yams, rolls, and the best part! Pumpkin pie!

Dear Santa or Grandpa

On Tuesday Grandma, Brittany, and Jillian came to play. Brittany had to go somewhere for work, and Jillian went and played with friends, so it was really just Grandma. We went to a few stores, and well, I found what I am asking Santa for!

PS Grandpa, you can get it for me if you want to. I will name it Chief Jr. :)

Game Day

On Saturday we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Nuttall's house to watch BYU get creamed. I had a lot of fun crawling around and getting into things that I shouldn't. Dad had a lot of fun too watching his team win. Mom on the other hand....

Being Neutral

The game between BYU and Utah is today. Problem is, I have a divided family. Mom likes BYU and Dad likes U of U.
I decided to dress to please both of them.

Sugar Cookies

Mommy and Daddy made sugar cookies to deliver to the neighbors and to take to the big game today. While they were mixing the frosting, they ran out of red food coloring. At first the "red" frosting was just a dark pink. Well, Dad wouldn't stand for that. He jumped up to go to the store so fast that it made Mommy laugh. Daddy came back with a big bottle of red food coloring.
Go BYU!

9 Month Appointment

Yesterday I went and saw Dr. Templeman for my nine month check-up. I sure am getting big! I weigh 23 pounds, which is in the 89 percentile. I am 30 inches long, which is in the 95 percentile. My head circumference.... well, lets just say the doctor says I am okay because it is following its own growth curve.

*

This was one of the better appointments. I didn't have to get any shots! And! Doctor Templeman said I can start eating anything I want! Including pizza! He said I could have some pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. Oh yum! Also, I got to crawl all over the paper on the examining table. That is a blast!

I have been so busy that I forgot to say,
that Auntie Brittany visited on Saturday.
*
While she was here, we went to a couple of stores
they were all girly ones, so it was quite a bore
*
But then we decided just to play
and frankly, that just made my day

Grandma Time

Grandma came to visit today
I always like when we get to play
*
I like that she will drive all those miles
Just so she can make me smile
*
Grandma and I play with all my toys
And I show her how I can make so much noise
*
When she's here we get to go out to eat
That is always such a special treat
*
I love my grandma, oh yes I do!
People like her are very few!

Smart Mommy

As many of you know, the big game between BYU and U of U is on Saturday. Mom knew that Daddy would want to put my U of U outfit on me then. So, being the smart mommy that she is, she put it on me yesterday. Then, she made sure I got it really dirty. I didn't have to wear a bib all day! It was great!

*
I also thought I would help Mom out by having a really big blow out.

He he... Now it is my U of Pooh outfit!

*
Sorry Daddy. Looks like I will just have to wear my BYU clothes.

Waving

One of my favorite things to do now is to wave and say hi.

Nine Months Old!

Well... it is official. I have been outside Mommy's tummy for as long as I was inside. Let me tell you, it has been less stressful outside then in. On the outside all I have had to do is learn to crawl, stand, and stuff like that. When I was inside Mommy's tummy I had to grow a head, arms, legs, noses, ears, etc. Boy, that was so stressful!
*
The one good thing about being inside was the tube that was hooked to my tummy. I didn't have to wait for Mommy to make me a bottle, my food was always there. But I can do without the tube, because I get Cheerios now.
*

Another good thing about being on the outside is there is more people to play with. Outside there are grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles, and puppies. It was kind of lonely on the inside with just me. I guess that is why some babies decide to split and become twins. But I didn't want to do that... then I would have to share my toys.
*

Speaking of toys... it is my birthday. Hint... Hint.... : )

Potatoes

Mommy put a big glob of mashed potatoes on my tray the other day. She wished she had to video camera for my initial reaction when I took a handful and mushed potatoes between my fingers. Oh boy was it great fun! I was fascinated by how the potatoes would ooze out when I squeezed. I didn't eat any of them, but it was sure fun playing in them.

Stairs

Daddy and Aspen were taking refuge from me on the stairs. Well, that didn't stop me.

More Mimi Fun

I had so much fun on Saturday at Mimi and Grandpa's house that I begged Mommy and Daddy to take me back there today. They said they would if I took a good nap, so I did.

My cousins were there this time, and so were all the Aunties and Uncles. Even the puppies got to go. Aspen got to play with Bosley out back.

And whoa! Did you know that Mimi's leg comes off?! All she has to do is push a button and off it
comes. Claire and I were very interested in this. Ever since Mimi took her leg off, I have been trying to find the button on Aspen's leg to take hers off.

Playing Catch

On Saturday I went to Mimi's and Grandpa's house to visit.
*
While I was there I learned to play catch. Uncle Andy and Daddy were throwing the ball back and forth to each other.
*
Mommy got mad at Daddy and said that you aren't supposed to throw the ball in the house. But, after I started to giggle at the ball being passed back and forth, she said it was ok.

*
Daddy would throw the ball to Andy, and Andy would hand it to me. I would giggle and giggle! Then I would grab it and throw it to Andy who would throw it to Daddy.

Crawling

Nathan is finally starting to crawl "normally." For the past 3 months or so, he has been doing the army or worm crawl. It has been up down, up down.... Now I think he has it figured out. Unfortunately he is getting really fast... this makes Aspen stay on her toes. All he does is chase her around.

Jumping on the Bed

One little monkey jumping on the bed!
*
This is my new thing! Mommy puts me in the crib while she hurries and does something- thinking I will behave myself... but nope... not anymore!
*
Jump! Jump! Jump!
I hold on to the railing and jump!

Baking at Grandma's

This week I am in Logan at Grandma Caylinn's. So, if you want to play, you'll have to wait until later.

Today I thought that since Grandma has been so nice to me that I would make her pumpkin cookies. Aspen and Hollie asked for the beater, but I said no way. It is all mine.

Reece's New Toy

Reece got a new car! Lucky duck! It has balls in it! It was so fun to play in!

Utah Valley

Today Mommy needed a distraction, so we got in the car and just started driving. We really didn't know where we were going, but we ended up in Utah Valley. The first thing we did was go to Bridal Veil Falls. It was really pretty there with the Fall leaves and nice walking trails.

After, we ended up at BYU. The funny thing about that was that Daddy had dressed me in my University of Utah outfit that morning. Well, Daddy felt uncomfortable pushing me around BYU's campus with my U of U stuff on, so the first bathroom he saw, he changed me into my emergency clothing. While we were there I got bought a BYU t-shirt.

Then the best part! Lunch at The Brick Oven! Oh yum! They have great pizza and rootbeer!

Trick-or-Treat

Let me tell you.... I am tired of this spider costume. Mom and Dad put me in it once again. Well, I would have nothing of it. When they put my hat on, boy, did I get mad. When they tried to put me in the stroller to go and visit some of their friends.... no way! I gave a tantrum like you have never seen before. All I wanted to do is pass out the candy.

Daddy's Work

On Thursday I went trick-or-treating at Daddy's work. When I got there he needed help, so I did what I do best, I answered the phone. Then I crawled all around his office. His co-workers thought I was quite cute.
