Poor Aspen

My puppy had an allergic reaction that turned into an infection on her face. She had to have the side of her face shaved. It has a big bump on it.
Aspen has to wear a "light" now. That is what I think it looks like. A lamp shade, or a light. Aspen doesn't like it at all. If you thought she was a goofy, uncoordinated dog before, you should see her now. She will have to wear it for ten days. We have to keep Hunter away from her so he won't lick it.

Poor Aspen. She just stands like this. So sad. She also has a stomach infection. The doctor put her on two types of medicine to help.

Ear Infection

I have an ear infection. Mom and Dad took me to the doctor a couple of days ago. It is no fun. I also have a cold.

Elmo!

When I went to Mama's house to pick up my doggies and Addie, this is what I found! A giant Elmo! Mama must love me!

I was all smiles! Thanks Mama!

On Our Way Home

On Sunday we headed home. On our way out we saw an owl. Mom had to darken the picture so you could see it. It blended in really well.
We stopped in Blackfoot, ID to play at this awesome park. Then we humored Papa Jeff and had our picture taken by the giant potato.

I had a great time at Yellowstone. Thanks everyone!

Yellowstone Vacation - Day 3

Our family headed to Lellowstone by ourselves on the third day of our vacation. I totally blame these pictures on Grandma. I wonder why Mom doesn't remember saying to herself that she would never make HER kids do this. But that is ok, these are new states for me.

A nice lady offered to take our picture by the sign. But I guess she didn't think we needed the whole sign, so here is the picture of the Yellowstone Sign.

Our first stop was at the Artists Paintpots. I thought I needed to sit on every log.

More tree climbing.

This buffalo was walking in the street! He wouldn't get out of the way!

We went to Mammoth Hot Springs. That is Mom's favorite part of Yellowstone.

I thought it looked like snow and suggested that we build a snowman.

In Mammoth we saw a lot of elk. If you look close, the elk is in the shadows by the building.

Then we went to the visitor's center.

This sign says don't step in elk poop.

I decided that I wanted to be an elk too! I insisted on crawling on the sidewalk like an elk. I am so silly. Everyone that walked by laughed.

We played at Mammoth for awhile.

Yum. Icecream!

Dad loved this building. It was the engineering building.

This was the only bear we saw.

This is the Mammoth Medical Center. Must be a long wait. Look at all the elk in the shade waiting to get in.

Here we all are.

Mom had brought us some paint so we could paint rocks.

Here is the rock that I painted. Then Mom and I painted this stick. So pretty huh?

Yellowstone Vacation - Day 2

On the second day of our vacation, Mom and Dad made breakfast burritos for everyone and then off we went to Lellowstone. It was a long drive before we got anywhere. Most of the time we drove really, really slow. We found out later that traffic was slow because there was a buffalo in the road.

Our first stop was at Firehole Falls. I didn't see any fire, but there was a waterfall.

Then we went to some geysers. That is a fancy word for hot wha-wha. You don't touch the hot water. You just look.

Lately, I have been running by kicking my legs out to the side. In this picture I was chasing Aunt Erin. I love to run and chase people.

We stopped for lunch in a picnic area. We got to run and play, which I liked alot!

NayNay loves Claire-Bear.

This is a picture of me trying to climb the tree. Look how high I am!

Next we went and saw Old Faithful. No - Old Faithful isn't Papa Steve and nap taking - Old Faithful is a geyser that shoots water high in the air. We got there just a few minutes before it went off. Good timing!

After we watched Old Faithful, we went into the new visitor's center.

Right after we took this picture, Claire and I collided and I fell to the ground and bonked my nose really hard. Boy did it hurt. Mom and Dad (being the good parents that they are) said if I would be happy again they would buy me a prize. Well, they were thinking a stuffed animal buffalo or something........

....... but I was thinking a giant sucker!! There were four sizes of suckers smaller than this one, but this was the one that I wanted.

This wasn't the biggest sucker though.... that would be my parents.

I fell asleep in the car for about a half hour. And when I woke up this is what I saw . . . . . .

. . . . . . tons of buffalo! They were everywhere in the parking lot. I loved it!

This geyser is called the Dragons Lair.

More and more buffalo!

I got into Dad's backpack to see some waterfalls. I really enjoy waterfalls!

It was my turn to wear the backpack. I gave Mom a ride.

Mom thought this was neat. It was just on the side of the road.

We got stopped for construction. Mom is making me put this picture in because she thought it was so funny. Well you see, I had to take care of some business, so I went out of the car and stood on the side of the road. I did my red-in-the-face-push-push in front of all the other cars stopped for construction. But, I was insistent I was going to do my business on the side of the road.

On our drive back, we saw elk everywhere.

What a fun day!
